Our company first began trading in 1976, with a 3 hectare farm growing mainly chrysanthemum
Since then, the enterprise has grown to total forty five hectares on two farms, with most production areas under cover to ensure quality. It also includes a specialist plant propagation nursery which supplies cut flower plants to flower growers around Australia
A wide variety of cut flower crops are grown on the two farms, on a year round basis where possible, or seasonally for some crops. We also heat significant areas to help maintain production of gerberas, roses and lisianthus during the winter. Flowers grown year round include chrysanthemum, chinesine carnations, roses, gerberas, gypsophila, lisianthus, and fillers such as Easter daisy, aster lutea and golden rod. Seasonal crops grown are Asiatic and orientalliliums, iris, alstromeria, delphinium, statice, as well as various foliages and natives including pink ice proteas, king proteas, safari sunset leucodendrons, and waxflower. We also grow sim, spray and gypsy carnations but do not produce these locally during the summer months, as the climate does not allow for good quality
To help us to provide a complete service for our customers, we also purchase additional product from both local and interstate suppliers, (as well as some imported lines such as Singapore orchids) and can therefore offer our customers a full range of cut flower lines. As well as cut flowers, we also stock a large selection of florist accessories at competitive prices
As a further service to our customers, we maintain a specialist wedding section. The purpose of this section is to provide florists with the flowers they need for their special and wedding orders, paying special attention to quality and colours. Given sufficient lead-time, we can source special needs from locally or interstate as long as they are in season somewhere in the country
