We promise the house looks better when you receive it than it does in the pictures! We use only high grade Western Red Cedar and spruce lumber. Western Red Cedar is considered to be the most durable of cedars. This is important because it does not rot away after several years, unlike white wood. Also, it does not require painting - it turns grey with age. However, if you would prefer to preserve the rich red color, simply spray or paint the exterior with Wood Protector.
