Coronado Solarmax 40 Telescope 0.5a

Observing the Sun in H-alpha can be a fascinating experience. Unlike faint deep sky abjects that rarely change noticably in appearance the Sun is dynamic and the views can change from hour to hour. Active sunspot regions often seeth with activity and unimaginable energy gives rise to transient phenomena such as plage and surges. With diligent and regular observation solar flares associated with coronal mass ejections may be observed. Moreton Waves and Ellerman Bombs associated with particularly violent active regions can be seen or imaged with SolarMax telescopes. The SolarMax 40 telescope has the same aperture as the P.S.T. but is distinguished by several key factors. The SolarMax 40 0.5A telescope comes standard with a 0.5 angstrom bandpass providing the ultimate contrast and detail across the disk. A T-Max attached directly behind the etalon gives you the ability to adjust for Doppler shifted light. The focus drawtube can be adjusted allowing Bino-viewers and most imaging equipment to reach focus as well as focusing for normal visual observations These features plus enhanced visual detail make the SolarMax 40 telescope a more versatile instrument providing remarkable solar images. The SolarMax 40 telescope is suppied with a clamshell mounting ring, SolRanger finder, 25mm CEMAX eyepiece and hard travel case.
