Transits of Venus across the face of the sun rank amoung the rarest astronomical phenomena. With that in mind it is important to note as an astronmer or even casual gazer that two will occur in the next ten year, (in 2004 and 2012). This book presents elements and geometric data for all transits of Venus from the year 2000 to 4000, 81 in all. These elements allow the reader to accurately predict local circumstances with worked formulas and examples included. Also presented is a discussion of transits as view from other planets.
